Hello, I’m Rafael Ferreira an engineering and product leader.
Things I’ve helped build over the years:
- Atlassian Compass – Make sense of your distributed architecture
- Github Insights – Responsible for the much loved insights tabs but also an all-new analytics everywhere product – helping developers around the globe make better decisions.
- New Relic Synthetics – I had the unique opportunity to build this from the ground up: team, product and engineering office
- IO’s OpenCompute/OpenStack appliance and a couple data centers
- BrowserMob (load testing and synthetic monitoring)
- University of Phoenix’s online classroom software (back when they were a top 10 Alexa web site)
(Semi) Notable projects
- Jujube – just enough logic to turn Apache Http Core into something suited for micro services
- Sentry – a DNS server with dynamic, natural language, rules
- Over the years I’ve also contributed to quite a few large open source projects including Mono, Apache HTTP Core and Micronaut
